30.2 Next-Level Spinnaker Sailing
Designed for sailors with some spinnaker experience and a Medium Air Rating with a Tunables Endorsement‚ this class will focus on next-level spinnaker handling and skills including sail trim on all points of sail‚ power management‚ rigging tuning‚ maneuvers timing‚ situational recovery‚ risk prevention and short-handing.
This class meets once a week for three weeks with required practice between sessions.
This class will be taught aboard Tunable Solings and J-24s.
Prerequisites: 10.1 and 10.2‚ 20.1‚ 20.2‚ 30.1 and have a Medium Air Rating and a Tunables Endorsement or equivalent and a pre-assessment.
Proficiency of skills at this level is required for an “S” (Spinnaker) Stamp‚ enabling the carrier to rig and fly a spinnaker during Open Sail when sailing a Soling or J-24.
