Youth Sailing Instruction

Youth Level 3
The Youth Level 3 course is designed for the experienced youth sailor who has received a "Rating" after consecutive Youth Level 2 experiences‚ has demonstrated strong team sailing skills‚ and wishes to build their own leadership skills.
In Youth Level 3‚ students will sail of variety of solo and crewed dinghies‚ including‚ but not limited to Lasers‚ 420s and team dinghies* and experience spinnaker handling‚ trapeze work and racing tactics.
Level 3 courses are often repeated and when the student masters the appropriate skills‚ demonstrates character and leadership qualities‚ and is at least 16 years old‚ may lead to an MCSC staff position.
Class is held on Monday‚ Tuesday‚ Wednesday and Thursday for two weeks‚ with Friday reserved as a rain-date‚ need be.
