Learn to Sail - Enrichment Programs

Enrichment Programs
The Sailing Center’s Enrichment Program is comprised of three programs: Open Fridays‚ Spinnaker Club and Sunday Racing. These weekend programs are designed to make it easy for you to get on the water and practice sailing maneuvers‚ be evaluated for a light or medium air rating‚ go racing or simply get experience aboard an Ensign or another boat you have not yet tried.

It’s also a great way to meet other members and go sailing without having to find crew. MCSC staff will assist matching qualified skippers with crew to ensure that everyone goes sailing with an experienced skipper aboard. You can sail Ensigns‚ Solings‚ J24s‚ 470s and even get aboard Misty‚ the Sailing Center’s C & C 27.

Open Fridays
This flexible program on Friday evenings from mid-June to mid August is used for a make-up session should you miss a class during the week‚ performance evaluations (weather permitting) and even informal racing‚ or a combination of all three. The dockmaster announces what’s on tap at the dockhouse and also on the Weather Information Line at 414.277.9272. Call before you come down to MCSC! Open Fridays is a great way to kick off the weekend!
